Public transport and getting around

In public transport, wear a mask and keep as much distance with other passengers as possible. Disinfect your hands both when entering and exiting the public transport. Refrain from touching the handlebars with bare hands and do not touch your eyes, mouth or face before you have disinfected your hands. Do not allow your children to put their hands in their mouths either. If possible, move around on foot or on a bicycle.
Restrictions in force

In order to avoid the spread of the virus and getting infected, to protect the life and health of the people and to ensure the functioning of the society, it is necessary to follow the enacted restrictions and guidelines.

The meters of risk level

The main meters are the number on people infected with COVID-19 and the number of people hospitalised. The Government reviews the risk level once a week.

How to use public transport safely?

Use a period ticket, buy a single ticket online before the start of the trip or use other contact free options (a ticket machine, contactless payment). In public transport (whether a train, a tram, a trolleybus, or a bus), wear a mask.

  • Keep as much distance with the driver and other passengers as possible.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue or your sleeve when sneezing or coughing.
  • Refrain from touching the handlebar or other surfaces with your bare hand.
  • Disinfect your hands the first chance you get after exiting the public transport.
  • Before a taxi trip ask the driver whether the vehicle has been disinfected and aired beforehand. Ask the driver to do that after a trip with you as well.
